Need to change your travel date or time? Here are the rules.

Reschedule Window

Bookings can only be rescheduled up to 4 hours before the scheduled departure time. Requests made after this cutoff cannot be accommodated.

Reschedule Limits

Each booking may be rescheduled a limited number of times. Once the reschedule limit is reached, no further changes can be made. The number of allowed reschedules depends on your route and ticket type.

A reschedule fee may apply depending on the route and timing. The fee will be displayed before you confirm the change. Rescheduling is subject to seat availability on the new departure.

Late reschedules (within the cutoff window) cannot be processed. If you miss your departure, the no-show policy applies and no refund or rebooking will be provided for standard tickets.

Work Permit Holders

Last updated: May 2026

Information for expatriate workers traveling with Multi Maldives.

Work Permit Fare

A separate fare category applies to work permit holders on all routes. Work permit fares may differ from local and foreign passenger rates. The applicable fare is determined by the passenger type selected during booking.

Required Documents

  • Valid work permit or employment visa
  • Passport or valid photo ID
  • Work permit document must be uploaded during the booking process

When booking as a work permit holder, you will be required to upload a copy of your valid work permit. Accepted file formats include images (JPG, PNG) and PDF. Bookings without a valid work permit upload may be subject to review or fare adjustment.

Multi Maldives reserves the right to verify work permit documents at check-in. Invalid or expired work permits may result in a fare adjustment to the applicable foreign passenger rate.

Loyalty Points Program

Last updated: May 2026

Travel more, earn more. Our loyalty program rewards frequent travelers.

How It Works

Every time you complete a paid trip with Multi Maldives, you earn loyalty points. Points are automatically added to your account once your booking is marked as paid and the trip is completed.

Earning Points

Points earned per trip vary by route. Some routes offer bonus point multipliers. Only paid bookings earn points — free-of-charge or cancelled bookings do not qualify.

Redeeming Points

When you accumulate enough points, you can redeem them for a free ride on eligible routes. The points threshold for a free ride varies by route and is displayed on the booking page. Points are automatically deducted when redeemed.

Account Required

You must have a registered customer account to earn and track points. Points cannot be transferred between accounts or exchanged for cash.

Expiry

Points remain valid as long as your account is active. Multi Maldives reserves the right to modify the loyalty program terms at any time with reasonable notice.

Email Policy

Last updated: May 2026

Transactional and Marketing Email

By providing your email address when booking or registering, you agree to receive transactional emails from us — booking confirmations, e-tickets, payment receipts, schedule updates, refund notifications, and other messages directly related to your booking.

What we send

  • Booking confirmations and e-tickets at the time of purchase.
  • Reminder emails before your scheduled departure.
  • Notifications when a trip is cancelled, rescheduled, or affected by weather.
  • Payment receipts, invoices, and refund confirmations.
  • Account messages — password resets, verification links.

Marketing & newsletter

We may also send occasional promotional emails, special offers, and new-route announcements. These are opt-in only — you choose at the checkout step or from your account profile. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any marketing email; transactional emails continue regardless.

How we protect your address

  • We never sell, rent, or share your email address with third-party advertisers.
  • Your address is shared with our payment processor and email-delivery provider only for the purpose of completing your booking.
  • You can request deletion of your account and associated email at any time by contacting us.

Excursions Policy

Last updated: May 2026

Booking, Pricing & Refunds for Excursions

These terms apply to all excursion / day-trip bookings made through our platform — snorkelling trips, sandbank visits, dolphin cruises, fishing trips, and all multi-stop guided experiences.

Pricing & what's included

  • The price displayed is per passenger unless explicitly noted as "per boat" or "per group".
  • Inclusions (snorkel gear, refreshments, guide, etc.) are listed on the excursion's detail page. Anything not listed is not included.
  • Currency is shown at checkout — Maldivians and work-permit holders pay in MVR; foreign visitors pay in USD.

Minimum group size & cancellation by us

Some excursions have a minimum number of passengers to operate. If the minimum is not reached by the cut-off time, we may cancel the trip and offer you either a full refund or a reschedule to a later date.

Cancellation by you

  • More than 48 hours before departure — full refund.
  • 24 to 48 hours before departure — 50% refund.
  • Less than 24 hours or no-show — non-refundable.

Weather & safety

Excursions can be cancelled or shortened at the captain's discretion if weather, sea state, or safety conditions require it. In that case you'll be offered a full refund or a free reschedule.

Conduct & environment

  • Listen to the captain and crew at all times — their instructions are for your safety.
  • Do not stand on, touch, or feed coral or marine life.
  • Take all rubbish back with you. The Maldives is one of the most pristine ecosystems on earth — please help keep it that way.
  • Alcohol consumption on board is permitted only where local law and the operating vessel's licence allow.

Private Hire / Charter Terms

Last updated: May 2026

Private Boat Charters

Private hire (private charter) gives you exclusive use of a vessel for a single trip — point-to-point transfer, cruise, or custom itinerary. These terms apply to every private hire booking made through our platform.

Pricing

  • Charters are priced per boat, not per passenger. The price you see at checkout is the total for the whole vessel.
  • Up to the boat's stated capacity, you can bring as many passengers as you like at no extra cost.
  • Children, infants, and luggage do not change the price.

Advance booking

Private charters require at least 24 hours' advance notice in most cases. Some routes and vessels require longer — the booking page for each destination will show the minimum lead time.

Cancellation by you

  • More than 48 hours before scheduled departure — full refund.
  • 24 to 48 hours before departure — 50% refund.
  • Less than 24 hours or no-show — non-refundable.

Cancellation by us

We reserve the right to cancel a charter for safety or weather reasons. If we cancel, you receive a full refund or a free reschedule — your choice.

What's included

  • Captain and crew, fuel, life jackets, and basic safety equipment.
  • The agreed route. Route changes during the trip may incur extra fees billed to the lead passenger.

Luggage & capacity

Each vessel has a passenger capacity and a luggage limit. Exceeding either is at the captain's discretion and may result in extra trips or refusal to depart.

Alcohol & conduct

Alcohol on board is at the captain's discretion and subject to local law. Disrespectful or unsafe conduct may result in the charter being terminated without refund.

Damage

You are responsible for damage to the vessel caused by your party beyond normal wear and tear. We reserve the right to charge the cost of repair to the lead booker.
